What is a Textile?
  • Under EU and UK law textiles are "products that are exclusively composed of textile fibres, regardless of the mixing or assembly process employed".
  • Textiles may be made from synthetic (man-made) fibres (polyester, nylon, rayon etc), natural fibres (cotton, silk, wool, linen etc) or a mixture of both (polyester/cotton).
  • All our textile shower curtains are currently made from 100% polyester.
  • All our textile mats are currently made from 100% non-GM cotton.
  • All our textile (or polyester) shower curtains are water repellent (unless otherwise stated) as they have an acrylic water-repellent coating.
What is Vinyl?
  • Vinyl is a range of thermoplastic chemical compounds derived from ethylene.
  • There are three vinyls used in the manufacture of our curtains, PVC, EVA and PEVA.
What is PVC?
  • PVC is otherwise known as Polyvinyl Chloride.
  • PVC is a vinyl (plastic) that contains a chlorine molecule.
  • PVC curtain fabric has high softness and strength.
  • All PVC shower curtains are 100% waterproof.
  • PVC can be ‘glass' clear.
What is EVA?
  • EVA is otherwise known as Ethylene Vinyl Acetate.
  • EVA is made from a mixture of ethylene and vinyl acetate.
  • EVA curtain fabric has high softness and strength.
  • EVA has less clarity than PVC.
  • All EVA shower curtains are 100% waterproof.
What is PEVA?
  • PEVA is otherwise known as Polyethylene Vinyl Acetate.
  • PEVA is made from a mixture of polyethylene and vinyl acetate.
  • PEVA curtain fabric has high softness and strength.
  • PEVA may have less clarity than PVC.
  • All PEVA shower curtains are 100% waterproof.
